When our friend, Mary McMeekin, sent us the picture of the girl that she had just rescued, we fell in love. Lucy moved into our home and hearts in October, 2001. We do not know her exact age, pedigree, or even her original name, but she is now our Lucy!

Our vet guessed Lucy's age at about 6 years old in 2001.  We recently decided Lucy needed her own birthday, too, and being a rescue, she is thankful for the home we've given her.  So, on Thanksgiving Day 2007 we celebrated Lucy's 12th birthday.
